National Postdoc Appreciation Week – 20th to 24th September 21

National Postdoc Appreciation Week (20-24 September 2021) celebrates the significant contribution that postdocs make towards research and academic life in general.

C-DICE will be running and supporting a number of events during the week to celebrate the contributions of the postdoc community and to highlight the development opportunities that can be accessed through the C-DICE programme.

1. Business Secondments Matchmaking Event: Mon 20 September, 2pm – 3pm

If you are a researcher working in the areas of infrastructure, cities or energy, you will find out about paid, postdoctoral secondment opportunities in a number of businesses in the Midlands, covering a range of research areas. The secondments run from 3 months to up to a year.

2. ERA Net-Zero Heroes: Wednesday 22 September, 12.30-1.30pm – the life of a postdoc!

Dr Barton Chen, Dr Jorge López Ordovas, and Dr Sarah Yasir, will provide an insight into the variety of research being carried out by postdoc researchers across the ERA network.

3. UK National Postdoc Conference 2021: Friday 24 September

C-DICE is one of the sponsors of the UK National Postdoc Conference 2021. C-DICE will deliver a short presentation at the beginning of session PSC5 – Roles for STEM PhDs. Register today for this session.
