Process Engineering for Zero Carbon Emissions 9-13 October 23
In this engaging, interactive, in-person five-day course you will be introduced to the fundamentals of process plant and systems engineering.
C-DICE are fully funding five places for C-DICE affiliated postdoctoral researchers, each worth £1850. Key content will include:
Workshops and case studies will enable you to collaborate to determine the key aspects and process systems relevant to renewable energy systems and processes. Examples of these will include: mechanical, offshore, and renewable engineering, such as subsea production systems, power distribution networks, wind turbines, gas turbines, concentrating solar power plants, carbon capture and storage and hydrogen production. Completing this course will enable you to:
Course structure:This in person course takes place over five days with a diverse range of theoretical and practical workshops, case study sessions, tutorials and software training. Who should attend:This training is suitable for process, energy, chemical, mechanical engineers and professionals that want to obtain knowledge on applied process engineering, with a focus on net-zero emission requirements. Dates and location:This training will take place at Cranfield University campus. Accommodation costs will be met by negotiation and this training is eligible for the C-DICE travel grant and the C-DICE carers grant. The training takes place from 9th to 13th October 2023. How to apply:You will need to discuss your eligibility for a subsidised place (worth £1850) on this training with Karen Parks, C-DICE Training Manager. You should complete the expression of interest form using the link below. Once you have agreed eligibility, you can apply directly via the Cranfield University website. Caring Support FundIf you are accepted to join the training but your caring responsibilities could present a barrier to participation, you can apply for the Caring Support Fund to meet additional costs. The purpose of the C-DICE Caring Support Fund is to help postdoctoral researchers with caring responsibilities to offset the additional costs of caring incurred by taking part in a C-DICE activity. More details can be found here. Travel FundC-DICE has established a fund to help postdoctoral researchers attend face-to-face C-DICE events where they may otherwise not have the funds to do so. C-DICE will contribute up to £150 towards the cost of travel and/or an overnight stay. Attendance at this training is eligible for a C-DICE travel grant. More details can be found here. |
