C-DICE Research Sandpits Now Open To All UK Universities

In an effort to make the final two research sandpits that C-DICE is hosting its most inclusive yet, we are pleased to invite postdoctoral researchers employed by any university in the UK to participate in our upcoming Towards Net Zero in the UK Water Industry and Small Modular Reactors in Communities sandpits! Transitioning to net zero carbon is one of the biggest challenges today, and many solutions need to be multidisciplinary. Our research sandpit themes reflect current challenges in achieving Net Zero targets – challenges that require input from different research backgrounds and areas. This is why we welcome postdoctoral researchers from all research backgrounds to apply, as expertise in the sandpit themes (water/nuclear) is not mandatory.

Research sandpits are an opportunity for postdoctoral researchers to learn how to create a high quality research proposal with external feedback, generating collaborative research ideas that can be further developed via seedcorn funding – awards of up to £30K are available to continue research for the best proposals developed during each sandpit.

Applicants must note that participants from non C-DICE partner universities are unable to serve as PI due to contracting reasons.
