Ideas to Innovation: 31 Jan – 2 Feb 2024
According to the World Economic Forum ‘Future of Work Report’, creative thinking is listed as a top future skill, with businesses estimating a 73% increase in demand. Developing an entrepreneurial mindset is key to enhance future skills to become more resilient, resourceful, and apply an impact-oriented approach to your work.
We are pleased to inform you that the Bettany Centre at Cranfield University will run the Ideas to Innovation (i2i) programme from the 31st January – 2nd February 2024. The programme is open for researchers (2nd/3rd) and postdocs.
As part of this three day training program you will;
- engage with researchers, industry players, entrepreneurs, and experts from diverse disciplines and sectors with whom you can test your ideas.
- learn innovative ways to think about your research and how to raise awareness of its impact across sectors.
- understand your own ‘social capital’ and building your self-confidence to help you to make a difference.
i2i has been running since 2016 and contributed to successful exploitations of ideas and helped with the formation of entrepreneurial ventures such as CorrosionRADAR. The skills gained on i2i are equally applicable to developing a new venture, industry and community projects and indeed academic research going forward.
If you would like to benefit from this personal development opportunity, please register for the i2i programme here.
C-DICE will fully subsidise travel and accommodation for five C-DICE affiliated researchers. Please contact Karen Parks, C-DICE Training Manager to agree this funding prior to applying via the link below.
