Problem-led Sandpit series for postdoctoral researchers – ‘Town Hall’ events 16th & 17th June
We would like to invite you to contribute to an exciting opportunity with the newly established Centre for Postdoctoral Development in Infrastructure, Cities and Energy (C-DICE). We are running two workshops for academics, postdoctoral researchers and PhD students to decide which areas of the net-zero challenges C-DICE should focus on during the forthcoming problem-led Sandpit Series.
We’ve launched a consultation process with our partners to identify the most important questions and challenges for the integration of net-zero carbon into existing transport, household and industrial settings. The input you provide will shape the C-DICE problem-led sandpit series which will run later in the year. Sandpits are intensive, interactive brainstorming sessions bringing together interdisciplinary teams to drive lateral thinking and radical approaches to address research challenges.
We are inviting academics and postdoctoral researchers to join one of our online ‘Town Hall’ workshops on 16 and 17 June to discuss and prioritise the research question that will be addressed during the Sandpit series. We would appreciate a variety of views from colleagues at various career stages, ranging from PhD students to postdoctoral researchers to professors, from any discipline or background, whose research is related to achieving net-zero carbon, at the intersection between infrastructure, cities and energy.
Come to one of our two Town Hall events, on Wednesday 16th June from 1pm to 2.45pm, or on 17 June from 1pm to 2.45pm. Each will take place on Zoom but you need to sign for your preferred workshop after creating an account on the collaborative platform that we will use. (If you have any issues with the sign-up process, please contact Madalina Stalniceanu).
Your involvement will help to shape the future direction of the Sandpit programme!
