Developing a Publication Strategy for Net Zero Researchers – Tuesday 31 Jan 2023
Developing a Publication Strategy for Net-Zero Researchers
Where should you publish for maximum impact?
Who are your audiences and how might you reach them?
How will the visibility and impact of your research be judged by employers, funders, and the UK Research Excellence Framework (REF)?
What changes to the world of scholarly communication might affect how, where and when you publish in future?
As a postdoc or PhD student working in a net zero research field, you will have many questions about your strategy for publication. You need to maintain a current understanding of recent changes and directions linked to your future publications.
This workshop will enable you to explore some of these issues including open research practices, new forms of research evaluation, and publication ethics.
Outcomes:
- Identify a range of issues linked to publications and explore these issues through collaborative dialogue during the workshop.
- Identify the ways in which your research publications may be assessed and how to publish your research in ways that achieve visibility and impact.
- Consider the features of open research and explore how it links to your plans for publication.
- Plan your personal publication strategy, based on your conversations and learning from the workshop.
Time:
This online webinar will start at 10:00 am and finish at midday on Tuesday 31 January 2023. The Zoom link will be available via Inkpath, following booking.
